Onallsuchoccasions,Mr.Grimwigplants,fishes,andcarpenters,withgreatardour;doingeverythinginaverysingularandunprecedentedmanner,butalwaysmaintainingwithhisfavouriteasseveration,thathismodeistherightone. OnSundays,heneverfailstocriticisethesermontotheyoungclergyman’sface:alwaysinformingMr.Losberne,instrictconfidenceafterwards,thatheconsidersitanexcellentperformance,butdeemsitaswellnottosayso.
