ShadowraninacircleandpresentlyhefoundwhereJumperhadlandedonthesnowattheendofthatfirstbound.Shadowsnarled.

Snarlingwithangeranddisappointment,hereturnedtothelittleholeinthesnowandvanished.
ThenhefollowedallWhitefoot’slittletunnels.HefoundWhitefoot’snest.Hefoundhisstoreofseeds.Buthedidn’tfindWhitefoot.
He’llcomeback,mutteredShadow,andcurledupinWhitefoot’snesttowait.
