WhenthedwarfscamehomethatnighttheyfoundSnowWhitelyinguponthegroundquitedead,andcouldnotfindoutwhathadhappenedorhowtheycouldcureher.But,thoughsheseemeddead,SnowWhitekeptherbeautifulwhiteskinandseemedmorelikeastatuethanadeadperson.Sothedwarfshadaglasscoffermade,andputSnowWhiteinandlockeditup.Andsheremainedtherefordaysanddayswithoutchangingtheslightest,lookingoh,sobeautifulundertheglasscase.
Nowagreatprinceoftheneighbouringcountryhappenedtobehuntingnearthehillofthedwarfsandcalledattheirhuttogetaglassofwater.AndwhenhecameinhefoundnobodytherebutSnowWhitelyinginhercrystalcoffer.Andhefellatonceinlovewithherandsatbyhersidetillthedwarfscamehome,andheaskedthemwhoshewas.Thentheytoldhimherhistory,andhebeggedthathemightcarrythecofferawaysothathemightalwayshavehernearhim.Atfirsttheywouldnotdoso.Butheshowedhowmuchhelovedher,sothattheyatlastyielded,andhecalledforhismentocarrythecofferhometohispalace.
AndwhenthemencommencedcarryingthecofferdownthemountaintheyjolteditsomuchthatthepieceofpoisonedappleinSnowWhite'sthroatfellout,andsherevivedandopenedhereyesandlookeduponthePrincewhowasridingbyherside.Thenheorderedthecoffertobeopened,andtoldherallthathadhappened.Andhetookherhometohiscastleandmarriedher.
